Here you will get the latest syllabus for CBSE Class 9 English (Language and Literature), released for the academic session 2018-2019. From the last session, 2017-2018, a new assessment scheme has been introduced in CBSE Class 9. According to the CBSE’s remodeled assessment structure, now students are assessed on the basis of a final exam in each scholastic subject carrying 100 marks. It is composed of an 80 marks component for annual examination and a 20 marks component for Internal Assessment (IA). IA comprises Periodic Tests (PT) with weightage of 10 marks, Notebook Submission of 5 marks and Subject Enrichment Activities of 5 marks. From this year, CBSE has discontinued the English (Communicative) in class 9. Now students will write the exam for only English (Language and Literature).
